The following funds have been created to support the various philanthropic needs of the community. All of these funds are permanently endowed.
These funds represent gifts from many different donors who wish to address a broad range of local needs in our community.

These funds are targeted to address particular needs in an important area of community life. They are:
Youth Fund – Grants that benefit area youth, ages 0-18 years old.
Missaukee Area Community Foundation Youth Fund – Grants that benefit Missaukee County youth, ages 0-18 years old.
Wexford-Missaukee Veterans Endowment Fund – Awards emergency needs funds to veterans and/or their dependents in times of financial hardship. The program is also available to families of active service-persons. The program is limited to Wexford and Missaukee County residents.
Economic Development Field of Interest Fund - This Fund was created as a vehicle to hold pass-through funds that are designated for use for Economic Development in the greater Cadillac Area.
Homeless Prevention Fund – Supports a life skills training program for the homeless population, and those at risk of becoming homeless, within the Cadillac area.
Lakin/Weeks Fund for the Humanities – Grant awards benefit culture and the arts in our community.
Health & Education Fund for Youth and Seniors – Grant awards for projects and programs that contribute to healthy seniors and youth.
Dr. Carl and Linnea Munson Fund for Education – Created to advance, improve, and encourage education within the Cadillac area, both to individual students and to educational institutions.
James & Michele Bernier Energy and the Environment Fund – This fund was created to encourage energy conservation and efficiency, promote recycling, and support education for these and other natural resource conservation efforts in the community.
Cadillac Area Women’s Giving Circle Field of Interest for Women and Girl’s Endowment Fund – Established in 2009 to support programs and/or projects that benefit the women and girls of the greater Cadillac area.
Anna Van Houten Memorial Fund – Grants to support the specific areas of mental and physical health for children, teens, adults, and the elderly.
LeBaron Family Fund – Established in 2004, when fully funded this Fund will award scholarships for advanced medical education.
Gifts to these funds are an investment in the future of our youth. Scholarships and low-interest student loands are awarded from these funds. They are:
The Dr. Frederick Mannion Scholarship Fund for top graduating CAPS seniors.
CAPS Alumni Scholarship Fund, established in 2012 by the Cadillac High School Class of 1963, as a perpetual, endowed, scholarship fund to provide college scholarships to deserving Cadillac High School graduates.
The Sue Westhauser Memorial Scholarship Fund, awards scholarships to CAPS students who are majoring in the field of education in college.
The Kelly Ann Garcia Memorial Scholarship Fund for the Performing Arts assists seniors planning to major in vocal music in college, and provides financial assistance to vocal music students who are entering their junior and senior years in attending music camps, academies, or musical tours.
Ardis/Lueder Northern Lower Michigan Endowed Scholarship Fund supports a student in a recognized dental program at the School of Dentistry at the University of Michigan or the University of Detroit. Preference may be granted to a student who is from, or demonstrates an interest in practicing in the Northern Lower Michigan counties of Wexford, Missaukee, or Osceola. Priority will be given to students in a post-graduate program.
The Helen and Harvey Pell Fund for Education, provides scholarships to Eligible Students, and educational grants to qualified educational facilities and programs.
The Carol Moote Memorial Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to graduating Lake City, Michigan students.
GEOGRAPHIC AFFILIATE FUND
The Missaukee Area Community Foundation awards grants to benefit Missaukee County residents.

These funds are set up by the agency to support their programming. The decision and the use of these awarded funds are at the discretion of the agency.

The primary purpose of a pass-through fund is to receive gifts and donations on behalf of a nonprofit organization to support a specific project or program. The Foundation serves as the fiduciary for these funds and the donations are not endowed.
