Helen and Harvey Pell Fund for Professional Development

The Helen and Harvey Pell Fund was originally established on April 1, 1997, by Cadillac residents Helen and Harvey Pell as a student loan program.

The Pells were well known throughout the Cadillac community. Harvey Pell founded Pell’s Radio Center, a longtime downtown Cadillac landmark business. In addition to working alongside her husband, Helen Pell demonstrated a deep commitment to the community through extensive volunteer service. This scholarship is for individuals seeking to further their education, gain new skills, or earn additional certifications to advance their careers and personal growth.

Application Due: April 1st.

Eligibility:

  • current resident within the Wexford-Missaukee ISD.
  • graduate from high school or obtain a GED, or individuals who have graduated from a high school within the designated area regardless of their current legal residences.

Requirements:

Support Students continuing to active professional development through programs, certifications etc.

Personal Essay

Briefly introduce yourself, including your current professional or educational status. Highlight relevant education, work experience, or skills. Share any challenges or obstacles you’ve overcome that relate to your professional journey. Explain how the scholarship will enable you to achieve your goals, improve your skills, or serve your community better. Outline your plans for applying what you learn and making a positive impact. Please close your essay by describing where you see yourself in 5 years.
