Community Trustee Grant Program
Application Deadlines:
- Cycle 1 – February 28
- Cycle 2 – June 30
- Cycle 3 – October 31
Qualified applicants will be nonprofit groups and/or organizations that hold a 501 (c) (3) status.
Geographic focus of the Trustee Grant Program is the Cadillac Area Public School District.
For a determination as to specific grantmaking geographic limitations for your program/project, please call the Foundation offices at 231-775-9911.
Grand Applications shall be reviewed by the Cadillac Area Community Foundation Board of Trustees within 60 days of the deadline for applications. If the Grant Application is approved for funding, the Grantee will be required to enter into a Grant Agreement. This Agreement specifies responsibilities of Grantees. This grant making program has two separate applications.

Helen & Harvey Pell Education Fund
Application Deadlines:
- Cycle 1 – February 28
- Cycle 2 – June 30
- Cycle 3 – October 31
In 2000, Helen and Harvey Pell made it known that they wished to expand their Fund in the future and broadened the scope of its philanthropic works in education. The Fund was amended in 2000, and in 2010 became the Helen and Harvey Pell Fund for Education. The Fund became available for use as intended by the Pell’s.
In addition to student scholarships, the Fund expanded to include grants to educational institutions, grants for innovative educational projects or programs to nonprofits and/or educational institutions.
Grants are available for qualified educational institutions and/or nonprofits, for innovative educational projects or programs. These institutional/nonprofit applicants must be located within the Wexford-Missaukee ISD. For a determination as to specific grantmaking geographic limitations for your program/project, please call the Foundation offices at 231-775-9911.

Cadillac & Kellog for Youth Grants
Application Deadline:
- Applications accepted September 1 through May 31.
The Cadillac & Kellogg for Youth Committee, an Advisory Committee to the Board of Trustees of the Cadillac Area Community Foundation, accepts Youth Grant applications throughout the year. Applications received between June – August will be reviewed by the Youth Committee in September.
Qualified applicants will be nonprofit groups and/or organizations that hold a 501c3 status, that wish to offer a program or project to benefit youth ages 0 – 18 who are residents within the Cadillac Area Public School District (CAPS)
Normally, grants will NOT be made for:
- General Operating
- Support Sectarian
- Political Programs Endowments
- Fund-Raising Campaigns
- Grants to Individuals Conferences

Missaukee Area Community Foundation

Wexford-Missaukee Veterans’ Grants
Application Deadline:
- Applications accepted throughout the year.
This Fund was established to assist Wexford and Missaukee County Veterans, their spouses and dependents with emergency needs. Examples of such needs could be transportation to health and human services at veteran-approved facilities, personal emergencies, critical needs related to housing, heating, or home repairs, and even short-term funds to meet personal needs while Veterans Affairs claims are being processed.

Women’s Giving Circle Grants
Application Deadline:
- Applications will be accepted through March 1.
The Cadillac Area Women’s Giving Circle is a group of women philanthropists that have pooled their funds to annually award grants addressing the needs of women and girls and promote their economic self-sufficiency and wellbeing. While charitable contributions are down nationwide, the group is financially committed to making a difference in the lives of community women in need.

Grantee Evaluation Form
As part of the Cadillac Area Community Foundation’s program of Due Diligence, every Grant awarded through a Fund held by the Foundation must complete a Common Grant Award Evaluation Form at the conclusion of their program/project, which should be within one year of the date of the grant award.

PLEASE NOTE: The ability of a nonprofit to secure subsequent grants is dependent upon submitting this evaluation. This evaluation is a required condition of every grant made by the Cadillac Area Community Foundation and its’ Funds.
